A versatile performer, Michelle’s singing credits are comprised of a variety of solo appearances with orchestra including Haydn’s Creation, Handel’s Messiah, Orff’s Carmina Burana, Honegger’s King David, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, Vivaldi's Magnificat, and J.S. Bach’s Magnificat, Coffee Cantata, Wedding Cantata, and Wachet Auf, and The Seven Last Words of Christ by Dubois.
Operatic roles include Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica, Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, Bastienne in Bastien und Bastienne, Marietta in Naughty Marietta, and Susanna in Susanna’s Secret. Equally comfortable with Contemporary Commercial Music styles and crossover singing, Michelle has also performed the roles of Magnolia in Showboat and Daisy Mae in Li’l Abner.
Her voice can be heard in the movie Fight Club, and in CD’s by Adam Schattschneider entitled For the Beauty of the Earth, Bluffton University’s release of A Celebration of Music, and in a recording by Studio Voodoo.
An avid recitalist, Michelle has presented numerous recitals throughout California, Nevada, New York and the Midwest, performing works ranging from songs for voice and lute, to George Crumb’s Apparition for voice and amplified piano. She has also performed a solo recital at Steinway Concert Hall in New York City, in addition to having the honor of premiering works by Peter Terry and Igor Korneitchouk. Most recently, she presented the world premiere of On the Green Trail, a song cycle composed by Lori Laitman and commissioned by Dr. Latour.
